Nesquik's Video Contest

Title: How Do You Shake It?
Sponsor: Nestle
Video Length: 2 Minute max
Contest End Date: September 14th

Description:
Nestle wants you to make a video showing off your special way of shaking Nestle's Nesquick drink of chocolatey goodness. The only real requirement is that you include the bottle in your video, and if you are going to use music, I believe they want you to use the music the link to in the description of the contest.

There will be 10 finalists chosen, and then the grand prize winner is chosen from an audience vote. The grand prize is $10,000 along with screenings of your video in NYC and movie theaters near you. So, that's all pretty sweet. You have a week left, get to work!

And it begins

Welcome to the first post for my new blog on video making type things. Hopefully I'll sign a few more people to help out with things around here, but until then it will be a nice one-man voyage of discovery.

Basically, I made this blog for two reasons:

First, just as a place I can post links to movies I make while recounting fun stories about said movies. In doing so, I hope that people will learn something from my methods (and mistakes) and use these lessons to improve their own movies.

Second, I want to create a more centralized location for filmmakers I know to go and learn of opportunities. This will primarily manifest itself in postings on Video Contests I find across the internet, but I'll probably post about productions in the Williamsburg/Richmond, Virginia area. But mostly I'll post about Video Contests, production teams for the contests, and ultimate results of these contests.

In short, I'm hoping this will be a resource for the filmmakers in the William and Mary community, but who knows, maybe it will be interesting to others as well. A man can dream.
